In the Royal Trophy, two teams of eight players ? each captained by a legend of the game ? will square off in the first edition of an annual showdown that will soon be drawing comparisons with the Ryder Cup for its passion, drama and sporting theatre. The Teams of Europe and Asia will be confronted, face to face in a passionate, unique and spectacular series of matches captained by living Legend ? Seve Ballesteros and one of Asia's most respected golfers.From tee to green, thousands of spectators and millions of TV viewers will watch the Teams of Europe and Asia go toe to toe in four-ball, foursomes and singles ? the first shots in a rivalry set to last for decades. The first edition of this history making event will be held in Thailand.
